The Eye of Cthulhu basically charges at you with a short delay of about a second and a half or so. If you didn't know, the Eye of Cthulhu has 2 forms, one is Phase 1, and one is Phase 2, Phase 1 is pretty straight forward. I personally beat the Eye of Cthulhu with a Wooden Bow, Full Wooden Armor, about 300 Frostburn Arrows, and I also built a short arena which isn't too lenghty, I was able to beat it on my first try, so if you don't feel like grinding too much, you can copy what I had done. Make sure that it is night and that you are ready, once you are ready, consume the Suspicious Looking Eye and the Eye of Cthulhu will come after you in a few seconds. The Eye of Cthulhu can only be fought at night, and to summon it, you will need a specific item called the Suspicious Looking Eye, in order to get this eye, you will need to fight the flying Demon Eyes that appear only at night which have a high chance of dropping Lens, you will need 6 Lens, after you get the 6 Lens, you will need to head into a cave of your evil biome, (Corruption or Crimson) and you will find the Crimson/Demon Altar, these Altars act as crafting benches, so press esc or whatever you have keybinded ur inventory to, and craft the Suspicious Looking Eye with the 6 Lenses that you have.Īfter that is done, I suggest building an arena, if not, it's fine. On Expert, it's all the same except on Crimson Worlds:ġ00% Chance to drop Treasure Bag and a 100% chance to drop Shield of Cthulhu.ġ00% Chance to drop Eye of Cthulhu Relic, 100% chance to drop the 0x33's Aviators and a 25% chance to drop the Suspicious Grinning Eye item. On corruption worlds, it has a 100% chance to drop 30-90 Demonite Ore, a 100% chance to drop 20-50 Unholy Arrows, and a 100% chance to drop 1-3 Corrupt Seeds. On Crimson worlds, the Eye of Cthulhu has a 100% chance to drop 30-90 Crimtane Ore, a 100% chance to drop 1-3 Crimson Seeds,Ī 2.5% chance to drop Binoculars, a 100% chance to drop 5-15 Lesser Healing Potions, a 100% chance to drop a Badger's Hat, (ONLY IF YOU HAD DEFEATED THE WALL OF FLESH BOSS ON THE SAME DAY OF DEFEATING THE EYE OF CTHULHU.), a 14.29% chance to drop the Eye of Cthulhu Mask, and a 10% chance to drop the Eye of Cthulhu Trophy. On Classic - Journey mode, the Eye of Cthulhu drops a guaranteed 3 Gold Coins. Same as on expert, it has 0 defense and resists knockback by 100% (cant take knockback.) It does 54 damage regularly, but when it gets to below 185 health, it does a whopping 60 damage. Master: The Eye of Cthulhu on Master mode has around 3016 - 4641 health. It does 36 damage normally, but when it gets below 145 health, it does 40. The Eye of Cthulhu is the second pre-hard mode boss in Terraria, with the first one being optional, the King Slime.Ĭlassic - Journey: The Eye of Cthulhu has around 2800 health in Journey - Classic mode, it does 15 damage a hit and it can't take knockback and it also has 12 defense.Įxpert: The Eye of Cthulhu has around 2366 - 3640 health on expert mode, however, it has 0 defense but it still cannot take knockback.
